ACCREDITATIONS
British Damage Management Association
The BDMA is committed to raising industry standards, providing accreditation for professional practitioners and facilitating recognition of specialist services in the recovery and restoration sector. Accredited Corporate Membership of the BDMA requires organisations to meet stringent criteria and will only be achieved by companies where a majority of their damage management staff are professionally qualified as individuals.
It will normally take an organisation between 3 and 5 years, after their individual staff start the accreditation process, to achieve Corporate accreditation. The requisite criteria are audited annually and must continue to be met in order to maintain accredited status.
As of January 2019 only 6 companies in the UK are eligible.
Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification
The IICRC is a certification and Standards Developing Organisation (SDO) non-profit organisation for the inspection, cleaning and restoration industries.
The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme
